MARICHU I. CARPIO & CO., CPAs (MICCO, CPAs) was established by a pool of accountants to consolidate their efforts in helping non-government organizations (NGO) standardize their financial management and accounting systems to be able to comply with the requirements of the regulatory agencies and local and international funding partners.
The firm is a duly registered general professional partnership with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It provides professional services to various NGO clients from fund management trainings, bookkeeping tutorials, consultancies, system installation and audit. It also provides accounting, bookkeeping, tax advisory services and audit to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
Composed of highly experienced professionals with varied and extensive trainings in auditing clients in various industries, the partners continuously strengthen their capabilities to face the new challenges to achieve global competency by attending various seminars on International and Philippine Accounting Standards (IAS/PAS), Professional Code of Ethics, Tax Updates, Philippine Financial Reporting Standards, Auditing Standards and other relevant topics for their professional development.
To keep abreast to the continuing developments in the field of accountancy, the partners, who are active members of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), are regularly attending regional conferences and annual national convention of the institute. PICPA is the only accredited professional organization by the Professional Regulation Commission / Board of Accountancy for Certified Public Accountants. PICPA is an active member of international organizations such as International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), Confederations of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) and the ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA).
